Steve Bond: Senior Pastor
Steve Bond is the Senior Pastor of English Christian Fellowship. Steve and Pam have been married and head-over-heels in love for 40+ years. They have four amazing adult children and nine even-more-amazing grandchildren scattered throughout the United States.
Early in their ministry, Steve and Pam served as missionaries in Chile, South America for ten years. They returned to the states in 1992 where Steve began serving as a Lead Pastor. The Bonds recently completed 23 years ministering at Summit Christian Church in Sparks, Nevada. Steve and Pam planted Summit in 1999, and it grew to become one of the largest churches in Nevada.
Steve and Pam enjoy adventure of all kinds, travel, dreaming, teaching about marriage and helping people to fall in love with Jesus. Steve is an avid swimmer and Pam enjoys decorating, reading and hospitality.
Steve has a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, a Master of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA.
Caro Amador, Worship Leader
Carolina was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. She came to faith in Christ in her early teenage years by the grace of God and has since continued to be rooted in local churches where she has grown and served.
Carolina has served and led worship teams for a decade, in both English- and Spanish-speaking congregations. Throughout this time, she has developed a passion for serving the Lord in this ministry with excellence, humility, and authenticity.
Outside of ministry, Carolina is a business student, a music fan, and an eager reader.
Priscilla Lara, Communications Director
Priscilla Lara was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. She began serving at English Christian Fellowship in 2021. She is a single mother of a 25-year-old daughter. Priscilla earned a Master of Arts with an Old Testament Concentration at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. After arriving back in Costa Rica, she taught Old Testament and Hebrew for several years at a local seminary. She has also served in discipleship and intercession.
Priscilla enjoys the outdoor life: hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, and sharing her love for Jesus and scripture with others.
Jenifer Palacios, Kids Team Leader
Jennifer was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She moved to Costa Rica with her husband Ruddy and their 4 children in 2020 and began serving at ECF in 2022. Jenifer gave her life to Christ in 2012 when she completed Rooted and was baptized, and is a devoted Christian. Homeschooling her children has allowed her to to learn a great deal about teaching children and how to engage them in learning in a fun environment. God has called her to serve in the children’s ministry to help the youngest come to know and have a relationship Christ.
Pam Bond, Prayer Team Leader
Pam has been a prayer warrior for many decades. Her vision is to help lead ECF to experience the fullness of Christ and that we would truly become a prayer-driven church.
Michael & Alison Wicker, Mission Team Leaders
Michael currently serves with World Vision. Both he and Alison spent several years as missionaries in the Middle-East. Alison has a Masters Degree in Missions from Fuller Theological Seminary. The Wicker’s are enthusiastic about creating a strong mission-minded culture at ECF.
